2010-2011 Family Commitment Form
(to be signed upon acceptance)
1. We agree with the values and purpose of The Daniel Academy (TDA) as listed on “Who We Are and What We Are Seeking to Build.” Our family will seek to act in a manner pleasing to Jesus Christ, in all areas of life.
2. We acknowledge that TDA is not an official IHOP-KC (International House of Prayer) school. While the leadership fully embraces the values of IHOP-KC, we are not legally or administratively associated with IHOP-KC.
3. We acknowledge that TDA is a non-accredited private school. It is set up as a Family Partnership Private School (FPPS) and requires the parents to oversee/instruct their student during the hours outside of classroom instruction to fulfill the state requirements. We agree that we will fulfill these requirements.
4. We understand that if we enroll our child as a full-time student, then along with the outside work done at home, our students will fulfill state requirements. We also understand that if we enroll our child as a part-time student, we will treat TDA classes as supplemental to our homeschooling educational requirements and will keep track of those requirements independently.
5. We agree that enrollment in TDA is a year-long attendance commitment for the 2010-2011 school year.
6. We agree that enrollment in TDA is a year-long financial commitment. (Since we generally do not enroll new students at semester, we are basing our teacher pay and building costs on your family as part of our enrollment.)
7. We have read and are in agreement (parents and students) with TDA Policies.
8. We agree as a family (at least one parent with their children) to attend a minimum 2 hours of prayer each week at any IHOP-KC prayer room and also serve for a 4 hour block of time at school on an assigned day each week (2 hour service requirement for single parents).
9. We have read and agree with the Statement of Faith of TDA.
10. We agree to embrace and abide by the TDA Opposite Gender Friendship Policy. We will discuss this with our students and make sure they agree with this policy.
11. We agree to attend the 3 required Parent Meetings throughout the school year: 8/16/10, 10/04/10, 1/24/11).
