10 Reasons Why TDA May Not Be a Fit for a Family
1. Parents are looking for a full-time private school with little parental responsibility.
2. Students are not ready to fully pursue a passionate walk with the Lord at this point. Students must be whole-hearted in their desire for the Lord and wanting to walk that out, even in their weakness (especially high school students). Unfortunately, we are not a school where troubled kids will thrive.
3. Parents are not able to give their students several hours of attention on the days the students do school under their supervision at home (sitting with their elementary students).
4. Parents are not able to make sure the students complete the assignments, understand the material, or check over the (elementary) work sent home.
5. Parents are unable to commit to 2 hours minimum in the IHOP-KC prayer room each week as a family with at least one parent (as stated on the Family Commitment Form).
6. Parents do not have a reliable computer and printer to complete assignments OR may not have daily access to the internet to receive and complete assignments.
7. Parents plan to travel frequently during the school year and will miss too many class days. (Up to 2 weeks per semester may be given to students who have good grades and are able to make up their work.)
8. Parents cannot commit for their student to attend for the entire school year.
9. Parents are not able to serve at school 4 hours per week (2 hours for single parents).
10. Parents are not able to commit to attend the 3 required parent meetings.
