Family Partnership Private School

This educational model is an equally shared dual commitment between academic classroom instructors and parental oversight (and teaching elementary students) at home. Both of these areas of instruction need to be fully operating to ensure success for your student.

We are combining several key components into The Daniel Academy: excellent academic teachers; a focus on prayer; personal excellence and growth; biblical studies; and parental oversight and authority.

We are not a home school (or a home school support coop) and we are not a full time private school.

Elementary students – parents in this category are truly private tutors and should be sitting with their students on the home-study times to ensure comprehension and follow through of work assigned.

Junior High students – parents with this age are helping these students transition from direct parental oversight to monitoring assigned work for the classroom teacher and providing accountability in follow through. In this season parents are a guide to help their students become independent learners.

Senior High students – at this level our students should be preparing for autonomous learning where parents just monitor the status of grades and work done from time to time, allowing the students to learn faithfulness and accountability to their classroom teachers.

For students coming from a traditional 5 day-a-week school, there is a big transition in time management. We strongly counsel parents to monitor and be aware of how their students are transitioning, being proactive in their development to ensure success.

We utilize a web-based computer system (RenWeb) that allows parents to track and monitor all homework assignments and grades. Parents need to access RenWeb daily or a couple of times a week in order to monitor their students grades and assignments.
