K-2nd Elementary Class Descriptions 

Students may enroll in Section A, Section A & B, Section A & C, or Section A, B & C. (All afternoon students must also attend morning classes in addition.) All students will automatically be enrolled in Wednesday afternoon Bible class. Each grade level will meet individually.

Please Note: All Incoming Kindergarten students must turn 5 by August 1st, 2010. 

SECTION A CLASSES: Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings (cost $385/sem) ALL students will automatically be enrolled in this section:

Mathematics and Math Lab: Students will take grade appropriate math, learning concepts, working with manipulatives and hands-on games, and doing homework problems together in math lab. ($5 supply fee)

Language Arts and Language Arts Lab: Students will take a grade appropriate Language Arts program which will include reading, spelling, vocabulary, writing and grammar. The Language Arts Lab will include reading great books aloud to cultivate a love for good literature, as well as developing creative writing. ($10 supply fee) 

Prerequisites: passing grade level Math and Language Arts tests from the past year 

Cost of Section A per semester: $385, plus $15 supply fee, plus books (see attached list)

SECTION B CLASSES: Monday Afternoons (cost $325/sem):

History & Geography, Creative Writing, Music/ Art: Students will study grade appropriate history and geography; will do creative writing, and will also have choir (1st -3rd grades fall semester) and art (1st – 3rd grades spring semester). Kindergarten will have their own music/art time.

Cost of Section B per semester: $325, plus $30 supply/activity fee, plus books (see attached list) 

SECTION C CLASSES: Friday Afternoons (cost $325/sem): 

Science, PE, Drama, Critical Thinking: Students will study grade appropriate science with hands-on activities; participate in PE team games, sport, and exercise skills; participate in mini plays and storytelling through puppets, and acting out roles; do activities and games that foster critical thinking skills.

Cost of Section C per semester: $325, plus $30 supply/activity fee, plus books (see attached list) 

REQUIRED BIBLE CLASS: Wednesday afternoons (cost $145/sem): (all students are automatically enrolled in):

Students will learn Bible stories and truths and build upon those year after year. Our own TDA curriculum is geared towards planting these truths in students’ hearts through prayer, Scripture memory and meditation. 

Cost of Section C per semester: $145, plus $20 supply/activity fee, plus book (see attached list) 

Section A and Bible: $530 (not including supply fees) 

Sections A, B and Bible: $855 (not including supply fees) 

Sections A, C and Bible: $855 (not including supply fees) 

Sections A, B, C and Bible: $1,180 (not including supply fees)
